• Hurricane Irma Preparations

This is just a reminder that if we get a hurricane watch/warning, the following are responsibilities of each unit owner:
  • Mandatory Evacuation for Barrier Islands

Broward County is under a local State of Emergency.

A voluntary evacuation for those living in low lying areas and mobile homes was ordered at noon on Wednesday, September 6. A MANDATORY evacuation for these areas is ordered for noon on Thursday, September 7.

A MANDATORY evacuation is also ordered for people living east of Federal Highway, including the barrier islands.

All tolls have been suspended to facilitate the evacuation. The first, best shelter option for those evacuating is to stay with family or friends outside the evacuation area.

  • Preparations for Irma

We will be locking the front entrance door for safety reasons prior to the hurricane impact.  Please do not enter or exit out the front entrance door until the all clear is given.  Notices will be posted.  The gate will be left open to make it more secure and if we lose electricity, it will allow entrance and exit.

Also, once the storm begins, do not use the elevators. If/when we lose electricity, you will be stuck in the elevator and neither the elevator company nor fire rescue will come out during and probably for a time after the hurricane.  Reminders will be posted.
