HURRICANE ISAIAS UPDATE
Saturday, August 1, 2020 – Noon
According to the latest update from the National Weather Service (NWS), on the current forecast track, the center of Hurricane Isaias will move over northern Andros Island during the next few hours and move near or over Grand Bahama Island in the Northwestern Bahamas later today. The storm is expected to move near the east coast of Florida tonight through Sunday.

Hurricane season is right around the corner and based on information from the National weather Service the conditions are right for an above average season of tropical storms and hurricanes. As many as 18 named storms and 16 Tropical Storms are being forecasted to develop over the next several months. So, NOW is the time to begin preparing.
Broward County is under a local State of Emergency.
A voluntary evacuation for those living in low lying areas and mobile homes was ordered at noon on Wednesday, September 6. A MANDATORY evacuation for these areas is ordered for noon on Thursday, September 7.
A MANDATORY evacuation is also ordered for people living east of Federal Highway, including the barrier islands.
All tolls have been suspended to facilitate the evacuation. The first, best shelter option for those evacuating is to stay with family or friends outside the evacuation area.

We will be locking the front entrance door for safety reasons prior to the hurricane impact. Please do not enter or exit out the front entrance door until the all clear is given. Notices will be posted. The gate will be left open to make it more secure and if we lose electricity, it will allow entrance and exit.
Also, once the storm begins, do not use the elevators. If/when we lose electricity, you will be stuck in the elevator and neither the elevator company nor fire rescue will come out during and probably for a time after the hurricane. Reminders will be posted.
