This is just a reminder that if we get a hurricane watch/warning, the following are responsibilities of each unit owner:
  • If you have any items on your deck/patios or improperly placed item on the outside stairways or under the stairs, you must take them inside your apartment. Any damage sustained to your property or any damage sustained as a result of your property causing damage to the building or common elements will be your responsibility.
  • If you are going to be away from Sept. to end of November for any reason, please place your items indoors in case we are in a hurricane alert.
  • If you live on 3rd or 4th floor and have opened the hallway windows, please make sure they are closed.
  • If the hurricane hits, the Association with lock the exterior door to the outside and you will not be able to enter from the exterior of our entrance.  This is due to the fact that the last time we had high winds, the door blew open and we could not repair it.
  • Depending on the day the hurricane warning or watch is expected, we will be moving the pool furniture and a few other items into the trash room.  The trash probably will not be collected during this time and we hope you will cooperate and not overflow the trash bin or recycling bin which will also be in the trash room.
Since we don't know if we will have internet, electric or water, we will communicate by going around the building notifying you of any safety hazards etc. that is occurring.  Hopefully we will not come to that but be prepared.  We also ask that you have no unnecessary guest come during this period.

NOTE:  IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE GONE FROM SEPTEMBER THRU END OF NOVEMBER AND ARE NOT TAKING YOUR VEHICLE, WE ASK THAT YOU LEAVE A SET OF YOUR VEHICLE KEYS TO BE AVAILABLE FOR THE ASSOCIATION TO MOVE YOUR VEHICLE TO MITIGATE ANY DAMAGES THAT MAY OCCUR DURING OR AFTER THE HURRICANE.

Thank you for your cooperation
